Ilaria Polsonetti at the Emmys

I’ve had the pleasure of styling editor Ilaria Polsonetti for years including both a personal style edit and for press & events, including her look for the Emmys. Here’s what she shared about our work together:

“Rachel has an uncanny ability to uncover not just beautiful pieces, but garments that make you look and feel elegant, confident, and truly comfortable. She envisions an entire look at once, from the dress and shoes to the accessories and hair - without ever missing a detail. I especially appreciate her passion for vintage clothing, both for its sustainability and for the one-of-a-kind character it brings to every outfit.

The most important aspect is that she was there with styling tips during every stage of my life—from pre-baby to post-pregnancy. She worked with me not only for the Emmys, but also on my everyday looks while chasing around two toddlers, as well as in my professional life at Vice and now The Wall Street Journal. She always takes context - place, audience, and purpose - into account in her styling decisions, and she has an incredible ability to make me feel confident and unique, no matter what I’m taking on in my life. If you're so lucky to get her to style you, you won't regret it.”
