Spring 2026 Events & Festivals
Considered style for the spring season’s defining moments.
A season of defining arrivals.
Spring brought Field to Frame to Cannes with two leading documentary producers at pivotal moments: Meredith Kaulfers, premiering the Richard Avedon documentary she executive produced, and J. Daniel Torres, attending as a fellow in the Gotham Cannes Producer Network.
From the Riviera to the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix’s Marty, Life Is Short, produced by Kaulfers, the season showed how a considered visual identity can carry a creative leader through the rooms where their work meets the world.
CANNES | MEREDITH KAULFERS
For the Cannes premiere of Ron Howard’s Avedon, the starting point was Richard Avedon’s iconic 1955 photograph Dovima with Elephants. The goal was to evoke his visual world without imitating it: graphic black and ivory, sculptural proportion, and a precise balance of control and movement.
The final silhouette translated the image’s drama into something modern and entirely Meredith, with a touch of Old Hollywood glamour. ommanding and intelligent, the look established a visual language that would carry through an extraordinary season of premieres, festivals, and screenings.
LOS ANGELES | MARTY, LIFE IS SHORT
The season began with Meredith walking the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Lawrence Kasdan’s Marty, Life Is Short, which premiered on Netflix May 12, 2026.
For this high-profile premiere, the direction drew on the clean confidence of 1990s style through elevated pieces. A vintage Dior blazer and sleek, tailored vintage trousers created a strong, understated silhouette, while a 1940s mother-of-pearl brooch and pearl drop earrings added history and individuality.
The film would go on to earn the project 3 Emmy nominations inclusive of one for Meredith and the producing team making the premiere the first of several exciting events to celebrate the extraordinary film.

CANNES | DANIEL j. TORRES
Documentary producer Daniel j. Torres was selected for the prestigious Gotham/Cannes Producers Network Fellowship, joining a small cohort invited into the heart of Cannes’ international film industry.
With a schedule spanning industry meetings, panels, screenings, premieres, and evening events, versatility was essential. The wardrobe was built around refined tailoring, lightweight layers, and understated texture, with pieces that could transition effortlessly between settings.
The result was elevated but never overworked: a cohesive Cannes wardrobe with presence, ease, and the flexibility to meet every moment.
