Taryn Gould & The Academy Awards
Styled for the 2025 ACADEMY AWARDS events and red carpet
In the narrow window before awards season - and amid the intensity of an active edit - Field to Frame partnered with filmmaker Taryn gould to prepare for a series of events leading up to the Academy Awards, including the red carpet ceremony itself.
The collaboration unfolded quickly and with intention.
Working from the foundation of her existing wardrobe, Rachel developed a clear, production-minded plan: identifying what needed tailoring, what to add, and resolving every detail in advance, from shoes and jewelry to nail color and beauty direction. This structured approach created calm within a demanding moment, allowing style to support the work rather than compete with it.
Below, Taryn reflects on working together.
“Rachel is a wonderful collaborator and artist and I’m so glad I ran into her. Last spring (2025) she worked with my tight schedule, personal style and wardrobe to plan multiple outfits for a series of dreamy events. She added her own beautiful pieces to the mix and thought through hair, makeup and jewelry with me.
Documentary filmmaking is intense and grueling. It can feel silly to contrast the seriousness of the work with the glitz of a red carpet, but the films, when they are finished, mark major milestones in my life. I want my personal presentation to reflect the attention to detail, thoughtfulness, drama, and creativity of the film itself.
If this is important to you as well, reach out to Rachel. Even if you’ve been an edit gremlin for months and haven’t seen the sun, she can help make the visual record of these personal and professional triumphs their own archival gems worth cherishing.”
